About Community Respiratory Services
Community Respiratory Services is a division of Lakeridge Health that provides respiratory services to help Durham Region and its surrounding residents breathe easier. Our Community Respiratory Services program provides Home Oxygen Therapy, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP, APAP and BiPAP) for Sleep Apnea and Complex respiratory illness support.
The Home Oxygen Program: Our team of dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapists and Medical Gas Technicians are committed to improving your life and those of your loved ones. Following your first assessment, we will deliver the home oxygen equipment to your home. We will show you how to use your new equipment and ensure that your house is safe for oxygen use (if necessary). The appointment gives us plenty of time to ensure that you are comfortable with your new equipment and all of your questions are answered. Our Registered Respiratory Therapists will visit patients in their home multiple times per year to complete assessments and answer any questions. We offer 24-hour support if you have any concerns or questions about your equipment. Funding is available thorugh the Ministry of Health and/or private insurance providers.
CPAP, APAP and BiPAP Therapy: Our team of Registered Respiratory Therapist will meet with you to answer your questions, provide education work with you to develop a personalized sleep therapy treatment plan. We provide the newest products from Resmed, Respironics and Fisher & Paykel. Come in to try our free 14 day CPAP mask loaner program and able to direct bill Green shield insurance for your CPAP machine and masks.
